Velocity API Documentation

The Velocity API now has public reference documentation. The endpoints that power the Zapier integration are also available as a REST API you can build against directly, and every endpoint is now documented with request and response schemas and live examples. Start with the Velocity API guide in the help center, or jump straight to the full API reference.

Sales Reps on the Customer Detail Page

The customer detail page has a new Sales Reps section that shows who is connected to an account and why. A rep can be linked through one or more Programs via a Territory Mapping, a Customer Ownership, or a Commission Override. A summary at the top tallies how many reps are assigned and how many Programs they cover. The view is read-only, so assignments are still changed in Commission Settings and your territory maps. Learn more

Organization Custom Fields

Organizations now support custom fields, matching the custom fields already available on customers. Configure them under Velocity Settings > Organizations, then fill them in on the Organization Profile page of any organization. Learn more

Organization Attachments

Organizations now have an Attachments section, using the same New Attachment modal as customers and orders. Save files or links with an optional description directly on an organization.

Zapier v1.15.0

The Zapier app now supports organization custom fields and organization attachments. Learn more

Organization Payment Methods

Organizations can now hold their own payment methods. The organization detail page has a new Payment Methods section for saving cards and bank accounts at the organization level, with a Customers can use this organization's payment methods checkbox controlling whether member customers can pay with them.

Organization payment methods are supported across the platform:

  • Members of the organization see the organization's payment methods alongside their own at checkout, both in Velocity and on the storefront

  • Manual payments can charge an organization payment method directly, adding the funds to the organization's balance

  • The organization Pay for Terms Orders flow now supports charging a credit card, either a saved card or a new one

  • Refunds, payment lists, and reports fully support organization payments

Terms Payment Page

The customer Pay for Terms Orders page has been redesigned to match the organization-level flow, giving both pages the same layout and payment options.

Added a new Sales Reps report under Reports. Includes Name, Email, Identifier, Sales Teams, and Custom Fields as available columns.

May 21, 2026

Centralized Organization Invoicing

Organizations now act as a billing layer, not just an invoicing one. An organization carries its own balance, separate from the rolled-up balance of its member customers. You can record offline payments and balance reductions on the organization directly, and use the organization's balance to pay down terms orders for any member customer in one step. Learn more

Pay for Terms Orders from the Organization

The Invoicing section on an organization has a new Payments menu with three actions: Record Payment…, Reduce Balance…, and Pay for Terms Orders. The bulk terms payment flow mirrors the customer-level one and lets you settle outstanding terms orders for every member customer in a single submission, drawing from either the organization's balance or a new offline payment. Learn more

Payment Source on Terms Orders

When paying a terms order for a customer that belongs to an organization, the Payment action now offers a choice between Use the customer's balance and Use the organization's balance. Each option shows the available balance inline.

Updated Invoicing Page Layout

The Invoicing section on the organization detail page now shows three balance cards: Organization Balance, Customer Balance, and Amount Invoiced. The transactions ledger underneath supports the new cross-account entries with Is Organization and Is Capital columns. Capital balance, previously a separate card, is now surfaced through the Is Capital column in the ledger.

No changes to existing API or Zapier payloads.

Sales Teams and Programs

Alongside the rename, the Sales Teams list page and Sales Team detail page have been redesigned for clearer structure and easier navigation. Learn more
