Add Reps to the Portal

The last step to completing your Rep Portal setup is to onboard your reps onto your portal.

Overview

  1. Navigate to the Reps page within your Velocity: Commission Maps app

  2. Click Actions > Edit for any rep

  3. Simply enable or disable the "This rep can access the portal" checkbox to provide or revoke rep access

At this point, your rep portal setup should be complete! Any of your reps will be able to visit https://velocity.shop/ to begin placing orders for their respective customers.

Linking a customer account

To give your rep access to B2B workflows, such as checking out on behalf of other customers, you will need to create a new customer in your Shopify Admin that will impersonate the rep.

Even if your rep already has a customer account, you will need to create a fresh one without any order history.

Once you have created a new customer account for the rep, search for that account while editing the rep as shown in the screenshot above. Once you've done this, your rep will now have access to the "Go to checkout" flow on the rep portal, so long as you have Shopify+.
