The Rep Portal is designed to work in parallel with Velocity, increasing its value by allowing sales representatives to build orders on behalf of their customers.
The Velocity app allows you to control visibility and commission for reps at both a geographical level and on an individual customer basis. The Rep Ordering Portal extends this system, giving your team of reps a sleek, dedicated app for quoting, drafting, and placing orders in the field.
There are three checkout options available to reps in the portal:
"Send for approval"
This option creates a draft order in the backend of Shopify that an admin may convert into a completed order.
"Share order"
This option allows the rep to send the draft order to the customer via email, a sharable link, or a QR code.
"Go to checkout"
This option require further configuration and is not enabled by default.
The "Go to checkout" workflow requires manual configuration. Continue to the Rep Portal Setup documentation if the following are applicable:
Your store has Shopify Plus
You are using B2B objects (Company, Location, etc)
Your reps will be placing orders independently, for your customers

All of your reps will have convenient access to these docs through the portal itself as well, via the chat feature.
