Velocity only commissions products that belong to a Commission Program. A Program sits on a team, holds the list of commissionable products, and sets the rate each level of that team earns.
Products with no Program are ignored in the calculation, so this is the step that turns commission on.
Adding products and collections
Open Teams, select the team, then open the Program from the Commission Programs card. On the Commissionable Resources card:
Select Add collection to include every product in a Shopify collection. Products added to that collection later become commissionable automatically.
Select Add product to include a single product.
Collections are the usual choice, because the Program keeps up with your catalog on its own. Use individual products for exceptions.
A product that is linked directly to one Program and also sits in a collection linked to another earns commission under both.
Setting the rates
Adding a product makes it commissionable. It does not yet say how much anyone is paid.
On the Commission Rules card, each level of the team has a Default rule covering every commissionable product, plus any product rules you add for specific products. See Creating Programs for the full walkthrough.
