The Rep Portal can be accessed anytime, by any of your reps here. By default, your reps will only be able to create draft orders. If you would like your reps to check out on behalf of your customers, please complete the B2B setup steps below. If at any point you get stumped, you can always reach out to MedShift's dedicated technical support team for assistance with your configuration!
B2B Rep Portal Setup
The Velocity app must first be installed on your storefront.
The following setup steps are only required if:
Your store has Shopify Plus
You are using B2B objects (Company, Location, etc)
Your reps will be placing orders independently, for your customers
Install the free Headless app for Shopify
Headless is an app developed by Shopify, and is free for all stores. The rep portal requires it to talk to your store. Simply click "Install" and follow the dialogue.
Add your storefront to Headless
After installation, you will see the Headless app in Shopify's list of channels in the sidebar.
Click on Headless, and then click "Add storefront"
Click "Manage" for Customer Account API
Set the Client type to Confidential
Save your changes
At the bottom of the Headless > Customer Account API page, set the following values in Application setup:
Callback URI:
https://velocity.shop/login/customer_authorized/Logout URI:
https://velocity.shop/login/customer_logout/
Copy three pieces of information from this page:
Sometimes, your Authorization endpoint may not include the digits shown above. If not, add /shop.json at the end of your Shopify admin's site URL and copy the string of digits at the top of the page. For example, look for something like {"shop":{"id":62767628422. The "62767628422" will be the digits you'd want to copy in this example.
